Planning
Programming Yes. 70% covered*. Building commissioning is implicitly covered by having a model, but the process itself is not. (* covered means that IFC model has the capability to store the required information).
Pre-Project Planning Yes. 60% covered -- connecting enterprise operational needs with facilities, defining functional requirements, public input, feasibility studies. Not covered -- A/E, CM selection and procurement, funding.
Contracts Yes. Project participant and contact info covered. Contracts can be referenced, but content not defined in IFC.

Design
Design Project Management Yes. 80% covered in IFC Product Model Servers.
Design Yes. 95% covered.
Analysis Yes. 90% of data to perform analysis covered by IFC model.
Code Compliance Yes 85% covered.
LEED Compliance Yes. 60%. Energy and ASHRAE are well covered. Material contents, some site work and drainage are moderately covered. Ecology modestly covered.
Documentation Yes. 90% The IFC model can store the info to generate views. Specification clauses and referencing to external specs are covered.

Cost Estimating Yes. Detailed cost estimating 85% covered.
Scheduling Yes. 85% Scheduling logic and 4-D covered, scenario planning depends on application.
Bidding and Buyout Products that are fully specified in the IFC-BIM can be directly purchased from automatically generated buyout lists -the software to do this has not been done.

Ongoing Operations
Asset Management Examples: Time Series (Time related events); Asset management (identification, histories, inventories); Condition Monitoring (Captures condition data including both measured (by Instrumentation) and assessed (by visual inspection); Space and Move management; Request Capture (Captures ad hoc requests made for operating and maintenance work and allocation of requests to work orders.); Service Life Data (Inclusion of capabilities for service life capture and management including reference and expected service life and ISO based service life factors); Environmental impact (Capture of environmental impact data for objects allowing impact assessment to be carried out in support of sustainable working); Operating and Maintenance information (Provision of capability to capture operating and maintenance instruction information based on the US Navy/Dept of Health developed OMSI XML standards).
Maintenance FM domain project starting with OSCRE to transfer directly appropriate design & construction information to CAMMs.
